TAP-Chicago Dragon Boat Team

The TAP-Chicago Dragon Boat team is looking for paddlers for 3 Chicago-area dragon boat races!

The "Ultimate Team Sport", dragon boat racing is the world’s fastest growing water sport. The 2,500-year old Chinese sport involves 20 team members paddling in unison to a drummer’s beat in a long, narrow boat decorated at the bow and stern with a dragon’s head and tail. Dragon boating with TAP-Chicago is great way to get a good workout, experience exhilarating competition, and make new friends! Paddling experience and athletic prowess is not required; team members just need to paddle in a synchronized fashion!

Cost: $60 in team dues toward the cost of race registration, practice fees, race day, and t- shirts. Total costs are considerably higher (over $100 per person), but fundraising as a team and sponsorship should cover the remainder of expenses!

We will arrange carpools for anyone who needs a ride to practices or races. Join us for fun and fitness!
